With rising electricity costs and the increasing need for energy security, the National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases (NITRD) recognised the urgency to adopt a sustainable and self-reliant power solution.
As a premier institution in respiratory healthcare and research, uninterrupted operations are mission-critical for NITRD. From advanced medical equipment to life-saving facilities that run round-the-clock, reliable power is non-negotiable. At the same time, the institute wanted to align with India’s sustainability goals by reducing dependence on fossil-fuel-based electricity.
As an empanelled member under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s NVVN (NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd), Horizon Renewable Power designed and commissioned a high-performance system tailored to NITRD’s campus with the RESCO (Renewable Energy Service Company) model.
