AIIMS Jodhpur: Powering 24/7 Care and Cutting-Edge Research

1352 KW Capacity

118.9 Lakh Units

107.02 T CO₂ Avoided

40,000 Trees Planted

From critical care units to cutting-edge research labs, energy is the lifeline for every hospital. However, keeping a state-of-the-art medical institution like AIIMS Jodhpur running 24/7 demands an enormous amount of electricity.

As the campus expanded, so did its power bills and dependency on grid electricity. With rising costs and growing environmental responsibility, AIIMS needed more than just a power source; it needed a future-proof strategy to safeguard and grow its operations.

Our Solution

Under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Horizon Renewable Power was selected via NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd. to design, supply, and commission a grid-connected rooftop solar system under the RESCO model. This meant zero upfront investment for AIIMS and long-term savings.

Scope of Work

  • Rooftop and parking shed installations
  • Engineering, procurement, and construction
  • Net metering, grid synchronisation, and compliance
  • Remote monitoring and maintenance under RESCO terms

Impact

1352 kW total capacity

118.91 lakh units (till December 2024) energy generated
